I’ve been listening to a lot of Lou Reed again lately. My main thought is always… I can’t believe Lou Reed is dead. It’s been awhile now it’s still the thing that sticks in my head.

His music just seemed like he was here forever and he’d be here forever. I suppose I’d say the same thing about Tom Petty. It’s some special achievement when you’re utterly timeless. 🎵

i need to get better with my text. should it be funny? salient? i guess this is none of those. but. i do think about what freud would say when i’m sitting there. it’s sort of strange. sitting there and telling someone you’re paying all the things wrong with you and your life. at the same time, it’s nice when you have someone forced to pay attention who you have to give nothing back to.

In the video Ben Gibbard walks through the streets and clothes and styles keep changing. The streets are sparsely populated in what I suppose is the 50’s, and ends up in a sea of people all staring at their phones, trying to walk against the crowd until he’s eventually subsumed.
